Dunnideer Hillfort
Did giants build this place? All around is magic. It's sunny and spectacular. There is a vertiginous drop below me. I feel I could fly down into the endless plains.
Striking a Copey
Christs Kirk (middle) from Dunnideer. One of the most sumptuous views I have enjoyed, ever.
There is decent parking at the bottom of the hillfort. A steep pull up the soft pillowy, gorse-strewn slopes and every breath is imbued with meaning. A circular walk takes you to Dunnideer RSC. The the compass for stone age metal.
Some of the stone fortification using vitrified granite. It looks like a man, on the right, giving a sloppy lipped kiss to a pig. Look closely.
Extraordinary heavy metal circle near Aberdeen Dyce airport. One of the finest, most complete monuments of its kind. The growing urbanisation surrounding it cannot hold this druidic temple back.
